Doing something today that our health and bodies will thank us for in the future! This is a great opportunity to continue to grow our relationships as mother and daughters!
Did you know that 9 out of 10 high school girls don’t meet the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines?
By participating in the Virtual FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Relay or by encouraging a participating team, you are contributing to reverse the problem of teenage girls abandoning sport and thus bringing them to be active for the life!

Surmounting the insurmountable
Sandy is a determined woman who loves to take on all kinds of challenges, even those that others find daunting. Over the course of her career, she managed and implemented several large-scale projects. According to her, physical activity has contributed to her professional success. In both her personal and professional life, staying active has majorly impacted the development of her physical and mental capacities. It has helped her feel healthy, have more energy, be calmer and make better decisions under stress. Additionally, it has allowed her to meet exceptional people and bond with friends and colleagues.
Sandy served as co-chair of the FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Relay in 2019. For the second year in a row, she’ll participate in the relay with her daughter, Justine. Last year, Sandy wanted to encourage Justine to physically challenge herself while sharing an extraordinary moment together. This year, it’s Justine who insisted that they repeat the experience and take on this challenge once more. Their shared goal for 2020 is to encourage more mothers and adolescent girls to participate in this movement and adopt healthy lifestyle habits. Saputo Inc. has been a FitSpirit partner since the very beginning.
Sandy is Vice President of Communications and Corporate Responsibility at Saputo Inc. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Université de Montréal and over twenty years of experience in the field of communications. She joined Saputo Inc. in 2008 after working in the financial sector for more than a decade.
