Living a balanced life and staying true to oneself
An active lifestyle has played a crucial role in fostering Geneviève’s personal and professional success. In fact, she needed to train in order to feel comfortable in her own skin and to maintain a certain equilibrium between the different activities she engages in.
When she was younger, Geneviève loved playing team sports. In fact, some of her best adolescent memories are tied to high school basketball tournaments. Geneviève decided to take part in the FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Relay because she sees it as a fantastic event that is accessible to everyone. She knows that she’ll have a great time sharing this experience with her daughter Alexandra and goddaughters Catherine and Léa, who are accomplished athletes.
Geneviève believes that in order for girls to take an interest in sport and physical activity, it is important that they play a sport they like and ideally, one they can do with their friends. Moreover, she thinks that girls need to be inspired by other women and should have female athletes as role models.
Throughout her career, Geneviève has remained true to herself, maintained harmonious relationships with her family and friends and stayed in good physical and mental health. She is proud to have reached this physical and mental state given the numerous challenges she has faced in her professional life.
